1. What Data We Hold

Data held about you by Wheeler Drone Shots is minimal and limited to information you have provided to us. This may include your first and last name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and details of your property or filming location.

2. Why We Hold Your Data

We use this data to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange and carry out filming, deliver your finished footage, and follow up on your project. We may also use it to comply with requirements from HMRC and other government bodies.

The only reason we hold your data is because you have contacted us and provided it. We do not buy or sell data and we do not collect data from any other sources.

3. Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest (to provide the service you have requested) and, where applicable, to comply with a legal obligation (such as tax and accounting requirements).

4. Drone Filming & Image Data

During drone filming, our cameras may incidentally capture images of people, vehicles, or neighbouring properties. We operate in accordance with CAA regulations and the UK GDPR, and we fly at sensible working heights โ€” we do not fly low enough to intrude on anyone's privacy.

Where individuals are incidentally captured in footage and are identifiable, we will blur faces, number plates, or other identifying features before the footage is published or delivered. This is in line with the principle of privacy by design under the UK GDPR.

Where filming takes place in public or semi-public locations, we will make reasonable efforts to inform people in the area that filming is taking place.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your data with our accountant, HMRC and other government bodies where the law requires us to do so.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your contact details for as long as they are needed to provide our services and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up queries. Financial records are retained for the period required by HMRC (currently six years). You can ask us to delete your data at any time โ€” see below.

7. Website & Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site and general location (country or region). This data helps us understand how people use the site and does not identify you personally. No cookies are used for advertising or tracking across other websites.

If you use our contact form, the information you submit is processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service. Formspree's own privacy policy applies to the handling of that data in transit.

8. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to see, amend, or have deleted any personal data that we hold about you. You also have the right to object to processing, to request that your data be restricted, and to receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at stephen@wheelerdroneshots.co.uk or write to us at the address on our contact page.

9. Data Controller

The person responsible for data held by Wheeler Drone Shots is Stephen Wheeler, proprietor. If you have any questions or concerns about how your data is handled, please get in touch using the details above.
